Market and competitor research for every project we take on.

On more than 1,000 of them we ran deep measurements, one by one, with Google's public tools, in August 2026. The findings below come from that set.

Three in 1,039 pass Google's green threshold on mobile.
The rate is 0.3%. The median score of the sample is 58.

The newer websites in the sample are heavier and just as slow.
Pages refreshed after 2023 have a median weight of 5.5 MB. The middle group, from 2020 to 2022, sits at 4.7 MB. Those untouched since 2019 have 3.0 MB. Speed stays nearly identical across all eras, at 58, 57 and 57.

The median homepage weighs 4.4 MB.
38% of the sample exceeds 5 MB. The heaviest reaches 22 MB.

In 386 of 1,039, the viewport setting blocks zooming on a phone.
The code is present and its value is wrong.

In 1,022 of 1,039, robots.txt contains an error.
The file that guides search engines does not parse correctly.

In 963 of 1,045 we could see when the last file was uploaded.
In 348 of those, nothing has been added since 2019 or earlier.
